The Manaslu Circuit Trek is an appealing and challenging hiking path that circuits the magnificent Manaslu mountain, the eighth-highest peak in the world. The Manaslu Circuit Trek is situated in the western region of Nepal, close to the Tibetan border. As a less crowded, more off-the-beaten-path adventure, it has grown in popularity as a substitution for the Annapurna Circuit Trek.

Day 01: Arrival day in Kathmandu (1,300m/4,264 ft) As today is your day of arrival in Kathmandu, a representative of our company will pick you up at Tribhuvan International Airport. He will give you a kind greeting and drive you to the hotel where you will spend the day. Once you've checked in, allow yourself to relax in your hotel room. After spending quite a bit of time at the hotel, you must be prepared for a trip briefing in our office. We will discuss every aspect of our Manaslu Circuit Trek journey during the following brief meeting. You are welcome to ask any queries you may have at any time throughout the discussion. We'll take you to one of the best Nepali restaurants in the region for dinner right after the meeting. You can enjoy Nepali food here while enjoying dancing performances. We strongly believe that you will enjoy your time here interacting with our staff and other friends. After dinner is finished, we'll return you to your hotel where you will spend the night. Day 02: Sightseeing tour of UNESCO World Heritage site in Kathmandu and trek preparation (1,300m) Today morning, one of our representatives will come to where you're staying. He is going to gather the papers you require to get the required cards and permits. After breakfast, you'll be excited and prepared to see the city's historic sites. We'll be on the journey for about half a day. During our tour, we will especially stop at four historic sites that have been designated as UNESCO World Heritage Sites. Pashupatinath Temple, Boudhanath Stupa, Swoyambhunath, and Kathmandu Durbar Square will be among the tour's main destinations. Alternatively, you could decide to go to Patan Durbar Square. After visiting these locations, you will go back to our office to get ready for the trek by collecting your gear and clothes. (Hiking boots, a sleeping bag, and a down jacket) will be handed to you but you must return them after the trek is over. Once all of the preparation is complete, you can relax and enjoy the time at one of the nearby cafés or eateries. Overnight at the hotel in Kathmandu. (Meals: Breakfast)
Day 03: Drive from Kathmandu to Machha Khola (930m/3,051ft), a 6-hour drive Today we will take an early drive to Machha Khola. First, we drive to Arughat straightaway which would take us approximately 8 hours to reach by bus. And here on, we will catch a private jeep to Machha Khola in a comfortable drive. Maccha Khola is located on the bank of the Budhi Gandaki River. Overnight at the lodge in Machha Khola. (Meals: Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner)
Day 04: Trek to Jagat (1,410m/4,625ft), 4 hours walk Today is our first day of the Manaslu circuit trek. We will follow through the gorge and continue up to the river. Here you can hear monkeys playing above the jungle where the Gurung village is also situated. Moving on along the route you will pass through villages like Khorlabesi, Tatopani, Dovan, Thulo Dhunga, and finally to the cultural village of Jagat at the height of 1400m. You will see the first Tibetan-influenced villages on this first-day trail. Overnight at the lodge in Jagat. (Meals: Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner)
Day 05: Trek to Deng (1,800m/5,905ft), 5-hour walk After the first trekking day to Jagat, our trail will go through the rocky trail where you will get the first views of the Shringi Himal. From here, after crossing a couple of bridges over the river, we will climb up to Deng where we will be residing for the day by setting up the camp. Deng is basically a village which just consists of 4 houses. (Meals: Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner)
Day 06: Trek to Ghap (2,160m/7,086ft), 5-hour walk We will begin our day with a filling breakfast. The route today would take us finally to Bihi. First, with a few ascents and descent that would lead us to Rana Bridge. We will continue our journey by walking along the pine forest and crossing the bridge to reach Bihi Phedi. Right after crossing it, you'll begin to see Mani walls welcoming you. Exploring the scenes you will cross another bridge to finally reach Ghap Village. Overnight at the lodge in Ghap village. Day 07: Trek to Lho (2630m/8626ft), 6 hours walk Today we will trek to Lho Gaon. On the route, we will have a delightful lunch at Namrung village enjoying the dazzling views of Shring Himal and Ganesh Himal. This view will accompany the route from Lho to Lihi and Lamagaon. Further, our journey to Sho will begin with a walk down the lovely Hinan River, which flows from the Linda Glacier. After a few hours of trekking, we finally arrive at Lho Gaon for an overnight stay. You will get a fabulous view of Mount Manaslu from here. (Meals: Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner)
Day 08: Trek to Samagaon (3,530m/11,581ft), 6 hours walk From Lho you can see the beautiful panorama of Naike Peak, Manaslu, and Manaslu North. Enjoying the views we will make our way through forests and arrive at Shyala village. Moving forward from here, we will cross a stream that will exit on Punggen Glacier. Crossing it we will reach Samagaon with the close-up views of Mount Manaslu. Here you will also explore the renowned Ribung Gompa. Overnight at the Teahouse in Samagaon. Day 09: Acclimatize day ( a day trip for Climb high sleep low) Today is the only acclimatization day of our Manaslu Circuit trek. Today we have to Remain in Samagaon as we have to adjust our bodies to the thin air of the higher elevation. We will not stay idle all day, we will explore the surrounding areas. This day will be best for you as you have the option to either visit Pungyen Gompa, Glacial Lake Birendra Tal, or hike the Manaslu base camp. After choosing any of the options to visit you will return back to Samagaon for an overnight stay. (Meals: Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner)
Day 10: Trek to Samdo (3,690m/12,106ft), 5 hours walk Today's journey is gonna be more interesting as we will wind through the deserted path with a wider perspective of Mount Manaslu. The trail first descends down to the Budi Gandaki River where we again encounter the trail junction of Manaslu base camp and Birendra tal. Shortly we cross the bridge over the river and climb a steep hill. Soon as we now reach the Samdo Village we begin to see the adorable views of Mount Manaslu, Shringi Himal, and Ngadi Chuli, along with the settlement of the Tibetan refugees here. We will explore the surroundings and nearby hill until finally arriving at the Samdo village for an overnight stay. (Meals: Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner)
Day 11: Trek to Dharmasala (4,470m/14,665ft), 5 hours walk We will walk on the trail which is pretty similar to the Samagaun to Samdo. Passing through pastures and Mani walls we will cross the Budi Gandaki river. You will see several heritages on the route as you come close to Larkye Pass. Along the route, you will get fabulous views of Larke Glacier. After finally arriving at Dharmasala we will head for lunch and walk towards Larkya Phedi to make ourselves acclimated to the surroundings. Overnight at the lodge in Dharmasala. Day 12: Trek to Bimtang (3,720m/12,204ft), 9 hours walk Today is the most anticipated day of your whole Manaslu trek journey as we are heading to the highest vantage point, the Larkya La pass. We will start the journey as early as possible today since it is a challenging hike. We will steadily move upwards to successfully arrive at this point. The prayer flags lead the trail whereas finally descending down to the frozen lakes and following the steep trail we will reach Larkya la pass. From this pass, you will get unmatched views of Himlung Himal, Kanguru, Annapurna II, and Cheo Himal. After cherishing the moments at this ultimate destination, we will make our way down to Bhimtang. It would take us around 3 hours to get down with the beautiful views of the moraines and mountains. Overnight at the teahouse in Bhimtang. (Meals: Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner)
Day 13: Trek to Dharapani (1,860m/6,102ft), 5 hours walk Walking through different landscapes we will arrive at Dharapani today. We will pass by the base of the Bhimtang glacier capturing the amazing scenes. Also, we will be seeing the fantastic prayer flags fluttering along with the wonderful mountain views. Moving forward, we will follow through the fir forest to Yak Kharka and then onto the village of Gho. Further, we pass through the village of Tilche, Dudh Khola River, and eventually Thonche which indicates the end of the Manaslu circuit trek. Finally, we will pass the Marshyangdi River and Arrive at Dharapani for the overnight stay. (Meals: Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner)
Day 14: Drive to Kathmandu (1,300m/4,264 ft), 12 hours drive We will now finally leave this majestic mountainous region as we leave for Kathmandu. After the early morning breakfast, we will leave Dharapani and catch a drive to Besisahar. It would take us approximately 4 hours to reach Besisahar. Here, we'll have breakfast and directly drive to Kathmandu through Prithvi Highway. Once in Kathmandu, you'll be driven to one of the city's comfortable hotels. You are now able to relax for a while here before heading on to the local markets to do your shopping. After everything is done, we'll go out for dinner to spend our final moments together and reflect on our journey. Overnight at the hotel in Kathmandu. (Meals: Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner)
Day 15: Departure day You will say your final goodbye to this lovely mountainous country today as your trek to the Manaslu circuit comes to an end. You can collect your images from other trekkers and exchange emails with them before bidding them farewell. A representative from AME Trekking will drop you off at the airport around three hours before your flight while bidding you farewell and sending you off on your way.
