Jamacho Gumba Hike Overview

Jamacho Gumba is a beautiful Buddhist monastery located in a Shivapuri National Park outside the kathmandu valley. It is in peaceful area  where you can connect with nature, and experience the spiritual essence of Buddhism.

Jamacho Gumba  situated in the top of Nagarjun Hill at an elevation around 2100m is surrounded by pine tree. The distance is about 4km from the Fulbari gate near balaju bhaisdhara and it takes about 6 to 7 hours. The hiking route is well managed and conserved by Nepalese Army. As you enter the monastery, you will be greeted by the stunning Buddhist artwork that reflect the rich cultural heritage of Nepal . You can explore the monastery and observe the different kinds of flora and fauna. You can see mesmerizing view of entire Kathmandu valley and different mountain ranges like Annapurna Range, Manaslu Range, Ganesh Himal Range, Langtang etc from this Gumba.

Note : During the Jamacho hike, there are no provisions for drinking water and food along the route, but you might find some at the top. It's advisable to carry a water bottle and food with you before embarking on the hike.
