The Gokyo Valley trek is the most popular trek in the Everest region after the Everest base camp trek. To put it simply, the Gokyo Valley trek is a much more calm trek since it is less busy and suited for those who want a peaceful adventure. You could think of the Gokyo Valley Trek as an alternative to the Everest Base Camp Trek. We are sure that although being an alternative, this trek still provides a unique experience by leading you to unbeaten and untrodden paths around the Everest region.
The Gokyo Valley trek offers a full grasp of local village life as well as breathtaking views of rivers, glaciers, mountains, and, obviously, the turquoise Gokyo Lakes itself. Moreover, trekkers get a one-of-a-kind chance to see the breathtaking 8000-meter Himalayan peaks, which include Mt. Everest, Lhote, Cho-Oyu, and Makalu, from a panoramic vantage point as they undertake the Gokyo valley trek. Also, you will be exploring the Ngozumpa Glacier which is the largest glacier in Nepal.
As more and more trekkers arrive in this region, the Gokyo Valley trek has emerged as one of the region's most popular trekking destinations. Particularly to do this trek, trekkers do not require previous trekking experience. Since this trek takes you to the maximum height of 5400 meters, the trek is only rated moderately difficult. Basically, you'll roughly spend 6-7 hours a day walking on this route which follows through valleys, high-altitude passes, and several ascents and descents. So for that reason, we advise you to prepare yourself to be in a good physical and mental condition before beginning this adventure.
Special Notice: Due to unpredictable weather conditions in the Himalayas there may be unforeseen schedule changes with domestic flights to Lukla and from Lukla. The flights may be delayed for several hours or pushed back by a day or more, depending on the circumstances. Although this is rare, it can happen even during the best trekking seasons. As you know, high-altitude weather conditions can be difficult to predict. Therefore, we strongly suggest that you plan for this by allowing for an extra day or two in Nepal after your trek, if possible. This will help ensure that you have some flexibility with regard to your trek. On the other hand, if everything goes according to plan, you will have time to enjoy other activities such as rafting, wildlife viewing, shopping, or just relaxing after your adventure.

As we advance, We enter the Sagarmatha National Park after having our trekking permits checked in Monjo. You will then keep going down the trail that gradually drops to the Dudh Koshi River bridge after entering the park. On your way to the Jorsale, you'll stop here for lunch. Shortly after, you will climb upward toward Namche following lunch. With winding routes and suspension bridges, it's a challenging ascent. However, overcoming this obstacle will reward you with stunning views of Mount Everest, Mount Lhotse, Mount Kusum Khangru, and more with a lovely valley. To complete this day of acclimatization we can trek Khunde and Khumjung, which are close to Namche Bazaar. This tour highlights the breathtaking mountain vistas, as well as the lovely monasteries and the holy chortens. If you don't want to do this excursion, you can choose to trek up to Hotel Everest View, the highest hotel in the world.
