Day 1: Arrival day (1,300m/4,264 ft)Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu (1,300m/4,264ft) Adventure Mountain Explore Treks and Expedition welcomes you to Nepal. Outside the baggage hall of the Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu, our company representative will be awaiting your arrival, carrying a paging boar/placard with your and our company’s name (AME Treks and Expedition) printed on it. Look for this person and follow him. This person will receive you at the airport and will transfer you (in a private vehicle) to the hotel booked for you in Kathmandu. After the check in formality at the hotel, you will be given some time to rest and freshen up. In the afternoon, a short meeting will be conducted at our office, where you will be briefed regarding the trek. In the meeting, you will also be introduced to the guide and other team members. After the meeting, around the evening, we will take you to one of the best typical Nepali restaurants in Kathmandu for welcome dinner hosted by the company. While having dinner, along with the typical Nepali food, you will also be introduced to the cultural music and ethnic dances of Nepal. After dinner, you will be transferred back to the hotel. However, in the case of delayed flight or arrival in the evening, the meeting and the dinner will be scheduled for the next day. Overnight in a boutique hotel in Kathmandu. (Dinner)
Day 02: Kathmandu Valley sightseeing tour and trek preparation (1,300m/4,264ft) After enjoying the breakfast at the hotel, we will go for a sightseeing tour of the Kathmandu Valley (in a private vehicle). We will visit UNESCO World Heritage Sites like Pashupatinath, Boudhanath, Swayambhunath and the Kathmandu Durbar Square. Having explored the centuries old art, architecture, history, culture, and religion preserved by these sites, for a few hours, we will get back to the office for the final meeting before the trek. In the meeting we will finalize the clothing and the trekking gears required for the trek. Once the things are set, the remaining time can either be spent resting at the hotel, or exploring the popular markets in Kathmandu. Overnight in a boutique hotel in Kathmandu. (Breakfast)
Day 03: Drive from Kathmandu to Pokhara (820m/2,690ft) 6-7 hour Today we will drive from Kathmandu to Pokhara. Every day tourist buses for Pokhara leave exactly at 7 in the morning; therefore, we request you to wake up early and get ready before the guides come to pick you up at your hotel. From the hotel the guides will transfer you to the bus station. Leaving the beautiful Kathmandu Valley behind, the bus will head west towards Pokhara. Soon, the bus continues on the Prithvi Highway. The highway, following a series of deep river valleys, presents dramatic scenery throughout the journey. The views of the White Mountains, green hills, terraced settlement and farms, waterfalls and river will keep your eyes and camera busy the entire time. Modern townships around the important road junctions and river crossings will definitely surprise. The bus will stop twice, for breakfast and lunch, before reaching Pokhara. This allows you to experience the service and the food served in the restaurants along the highway. Your 6-7 hour spent on the highway will be very interesting. From the bus station in Pokhara, you will be transferred to the booked for you in Pokhara, which is usually near the lake area. After the check in formalities at the hotel, you can either spend the remaining time resting at the hotel or strolling around the lake area. Overnight in a tourist standard hotel in Pokhara.
Day 04: Drive to Nayapul (2 hours) and trek to Tikhedhunga (1,480m/4,855ft) 4-5 hour After breakfast in Pokhara, we will drive to Nayapul past Hemja, Naudanda and Lumle. About 2 hours drive on a winding road, accompanied by the views of beautiful green hills, sky touching Annapurna and Machhapuchhre, and the sub tropical vegetation, will take us to the very popular settlement – Nayapul, near the Modi River. This is the starting point of the trek. At Nayapul, the luggage will be prepared for the porters. Once the things are set, the trek begin with a hike down to Birethanti. Birethanti is the entry point of the Annapurna Conservation Area; therefore, the team leader will complete the necessary check in formalities at the office of ACAP, in Birethanti. After completing the formalities in Birethanti, we will now hike to Tikhedhunga, on a gently ascending trail parallel to Bhurungdi River, past classic mountain villages like Lamdawali, Sudame and Hile. En route to Tikhedhunga, you will also get to enjoy the beautiful views of the wheat and rice terrace fields, traditional houses, and occasional, yet splendid views of Machhapuchhre and Annapurna. After reaching Tikhedhunga, we will check into the lodge. The remaining time can either be spent exploring the settlement and lifestyle of Tikhedhunga or simply resting in the lodge. Overnight in a lodge in Tikhedhunga. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
Day 05: Trek from Tikhedhunga to Ghorepani (2,860m/9,383ft) 6-7 hour Breakfast in Tikhedhunga and we will now leave for Ghorepani. Crossing the bridge across the Bhurungdi River, we will now climb a long steep stone staircase (about 3,200 steps) to get to a very beautiful Magar village, Ulleri. About 2 hours hike from Tikhedhunga will take us to Ulleri. The mind-blowing view of the Annapurna South and Hiunchuli await your arrival at Ulleri, after the long tiring walk. From Ulleri, the hike ahead is on a gently ascending trail, though the dense forest of Rhododendron and Pine, until Ghorepani. Ghorepani is the largest Magar village in this region. It also contains a number of guest houses that provide meals and accommodation to the trekkers. After checking into the lodge at Ghorepani, the remaining time can either be spent exploring the village or resting at the lodge. Overnight in a lodge in Ghorepani. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
Day 06: Hike to Poon Hill and trek to Tadapani (2,630m/8,628ft) 5-6 hour Annapurna Panorama is best experienced from the Poon Hill. The panorama looks staggeringly mind-blowing, when the first rays of the sun strike the mountain. Therefore, we will start our day with an early morning hike to the view point of Poon Hill. Since, it takes about 45 min to reach the view point of the Poon Hill from Ghorepani; the guide will wake you up earlier than usual. We will hike to the top, before the sunrise. In no time the glorious sun sheds its light on the beautiful panorama of Annapurna and Dhaulagiri, creating one of the best views on the earth. The beautiful panorama of Machhapuchhre, Hiunchuli, Annapurna South, Barah Sikhar, Nilgiri and Dhaulagiri come into view. We will spend some time enjoying the view and then descend to Ghorepani for breakfast. After breakfast at Ghorepani, heading east, we will now hike up to Deurali Pass and continue to Banthanti. From Banthanti, the making our way through the forest of rhododendron, enjoying the songs of the birds and flowing streams, we will now hike down to Tadapani. Tadapani is another region in this area that presents the beautiful panorama of Annapurna Mountains (Annapurna South, Hiunchuli and Machhapuchhre). Therefore, once at Tadapani, we will check into the guest house and walk up to the watch tower to enjoy the view. After enjoying the breathtaking view of the panorama, we will return to the guest house. Overnight in a guest house in Tadapani. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
Day 07: Trek from Tadapani to Jhinudanda (1,780m/5,839ft) 5-6 hour After breakfast in Tadapani, we will walk up to the trail junction, where the trail leading to the Annapurna Base Camp and Ghandruk divide. Following the Annapurna Base Camp trail, we will now descend through the dense forest and then the terraced fields, until the bridge across the Kimrong River. This section of the trail also presents one of the best views of the upper Modi Valley. Crossing the bridge across the Kimrong River, we will gently hike to Taulung. At Taulung, the trail further divides - one leads to Chhomrong and the other to Jhinudanda. From Taulung, following the trail leading to Jhinu Danda, we will hike down a steep trail to Jhinudanda. Jhinu Danda also presents a very beautiful view of Annapurna South, Hiunchuli and Machhapuchhre. Once we check into the lodge at Jhinu Danda, we will hike down to the Jhinu hot spring to take a dip into the natural hot spring. We will spend some time relaxing our tired muscles and get back to the lodge for overnight stay. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
Day 08: Trek from Jhinu Danda to Landruk (1,565m/5,134ft) 3-4 hours After breakfast, leaving Jhinu Danda, we will now head towards Landruk. From Jhinu Danda, we will first walk down to the bridge across the Kimrung River. We will cross the bridge and walking past the settlement of Samrung and the huge boulders, we will hike to the new bridge across the Modi River. We will cross the bridge; get to east bank of the river and following the trail parallel to the Modi River, a gentle uphill hike will bring us to the village of Landruk. Landruk is a white washed Gurung village in the Annapurna region. Here you can enjoy the classic settlement, lifestyle, housing style and the culture and tradition of the Gurung people. It’s a very interesting settlement; therefore, the remaining time can be spent exploring the settlement of Landruk. Overnight in a lodge in Landruk. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
Day 09: Trek from Landruk to Pothana (1,890m/6,200ft) 3 hour After breakfast in Landruk, leaving the beautiful Gurung village behind, making our way through the beautiful Oak forest, we walk up Tolka. From Tolka, a steep ascent on slippery stone steps will take us to Bhichok Deurali. The view of Dhaulagiri from Bhichok Deurali is awesome. We will enjoy the view and now following the stone paved trail, we will hike down to Pothana. Pothana also presents a very pleasant view of Machhapuchhre. The remaining time can be spent as per your wish. Overnight in a lodge in Pothana. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
Day 10: Trek from Pothana to Phedi and drive to Pokhara (820m/2,690ft) 3 hour After breakfast in Pothana, an easy downhill walk from across the beautiful cultivated fields, past Dhampus, will bring us to Phedi. Phedi is a small village along the highway, the end point of this trek and the starting point of some of the trekkers heading towards the Annapurna Base Camp. From Phedi, we will drive to Pokhara. Once at Pokhara, we will check into the hotel, freshen up and then set out to explore the lake area and the night life in Pokhara. Overnight in a tourist standard hotel in Pokhara. (Breakfast)
Day 11: Drive from Pokhara to Kathmandu (1,300m/4,264ft) 6-7 hour Breakfast in Pokhara and we will be transferred to the tourist bus station in Pokhara to catch a bus to Kathmandu. Leaving the beautiful valley, heading towards the Kathmandu Valley, the bus continues on the Prithvi Highway. Enjoying the beautiful scenery, landscape, river, terraced farms, and the hamlets for one more time, for 6-7 hour along the highway, we will drive back to Kathmandu. The bus will stop twice along the highway, where you will also get a chance to experience the highway hospitality and food. Once the bus reaches Katmandu, we will transfer you from the bus station to your hotel in Kathmandu. In the evening, we will meet for the farewell dinner, where we will also discuss the overall trip, experience and the feedback. After dinner, we will transfer you to the hotel. Overnight in a boutique hotel in Kathmandu. (Breakfast, Dinner)
Day 12: Departure day It is the last day of your trip with AME Treks and Expedition.
