Rhododendron blooms early this season

Rhododendron normally used to bloom in mid-March but this season it has already flowered in the hilly parts of the district.

The rising temperature of the district in compared to the past may have led to the early blooming of the national flower, according to local resident Rajendra Dhami.

It would come as a surprise if Rhododendron were found to have bloomed in January but now it has become a normal sight, adds Dhami.
