Day 01: Arrival day in Kathmandu (1,300m/4,264 ft)
Upon arrival at Kathmandu Tribhuwan International Airport, Adventure Mountain Explore Treks (AME) will greet you and assist you to the Hotel. We can meet later on that day (if possible) or the next day to take you to our head office to brief you on your upcoming Trek with us. At that time we will introduce you to your trekking guide and Sherpa. If your flight arrives on time, we will take you to one of the most popular local restaurants with delicious Nepalese food, cultural music and ethnic dance. This will give you a glimpse into the different ethnic groups of the country. If you arrive late in the evening we can do this the next day.
Day 02: Kathmandu Valley sightseeing and trek preparation (1,300m/4,264 ft)
After breakfast, you will begin a city tour of Kathmandu where you will see the main attractions of the valley. On this tour you will visit the Boudhnath Stupa, Pashupatinath temple, Swyambhunath Stupa (Monkey Temple), and Kathmandu Durbar Square (the old palace). After finishing the city tour, we will meet again to check your clothing and trekking equipment (sleeping bag, down jacket and trekking boots). This evening will be spent in Kathmandu.
Day 03: Drive from Kathmandu to Pokhara (820m/2690ft) 7 hours
After breakfast at the hotel, drive to Pokhara by tourist bus which departs to Pokhara at 7:00am in morning. This is an excellent drive through the Prithivi Highway which has interesting scenery of the mountains, Rivers, waterfalls and jungle as well as farm terraces and villages on the mountains. The bus has two stops, once for breakfast and once for lunch. After 7 hours drive you will reach in Pokhara. After sometime rest at the hotel, walk around the lake side of the city to explore surrounding areas. Stay overnight at the hotel.
Day 04: Trek to Kalikasthan (1370m/4494ft), 5-6 hrs trek
A broad trail starting from rice field near the army camp, then ascends through Rakhigaun to a chautara, a a resting place under large Bodhi tree. The trail climbs gently along a ridge top through Brahman and chhetri village toward Kalikasthan (1370m/4494ft) Depending on the tine that you start walking you can camp either before or after Kalikasthan. Locat te houses are on ridge top with good mountain view, including of Machhapuchhre and Annapurna South. Overnight stay in basic tea hopuse (More or less home stay).
Day 05: Trek to Shaklung (1730m/5675ft), 5-6 hrs trek
The trail follows along the forested ridge top through Thulakhet Mathi Thana, where there are few tea-shops. There is short climb, then the trail reaches Naudanda. Continue along the ridge to a school at Lipini village, then make a steep but short climb to forest to the Gurung Village Shaklung overnight at Home stay.
Day 06: Trek to Chisopani (2629m/5344ft), 5-6 hrs. trek
The Himalaya skyline continues to change as the route comes abreast Annapurna II, Lamjung Himal, Manaslu and Hiuchuli. From Shaklung the trail drops steeply down the south ridge of the hill to a large tree, several tea-shop and a police check- point This is a trail junction, trail leads to west is Begnas lake and east to the Marshyangdi khola. The skyline trek climbs toward Chisopani winding around the back of the hill to the village short distance above Chisopani is a high knoll where there is a small temple. This is Chisopani Danda.Overnight stay in the tea house (Home stay)
Day 07: Trek to Begnas lake and drive to Pokhara (1000m/3280ft), 5-6 hrs trek
From chisopani Danda descend along the ridge for an hour or so, then descends steeply on the stone steps into a small valley and a stream that feeds Rupa Tal. Continue for a short distance through the rice field , then make a final ascent to the ridge that separates Begnas Lake and Rupa Lake, on a wide path that you will share with many local people. From the ridge descend to the Pokhara valley, joins the road at the crowed, dirty and noisy Begnas Bazar. After exploring the lake short drive (12 KM) back to Pokhara. and overnight stay at the hotel in Pokhara.
Day 08: Drive from Pokhara to Kathmandu, 7-8 hrs drive (1,300m/4,264 ft) 7 hours
Morning at 7 am, we'll drive to Kathmandu through the Prithivi highway which is the same route we drive to Kathmandu on our way to Pokhara. It is interesting driving route where one can enjoy the scenery of natural beauty. Afternoon arrive Kathmandu and we will host farewell dinner at Nepalese restaurant and overnight at the hotel.
Day 09: Departure day
Today is the last day of the trip with us. If you would like to extend your holiday with us, we will help you if you require otherwise we will assist you to the airport as per your flight departure time. If your flight is late evening, you can do final shopping or manage your photos of the trip then final departure from the airport.
